In 2013 CLST launched a series of workshops geared to helping students at various stages of their careers with CLST-specific or interdisciplinary professional development. In early December, a Workshop on Fellowship Writing helps prepare potential CLST fellowship applicants but also provide insight into interdisciplinary grantswriting.

Coupled with this event, but aimed at a wider audience, is the CLST Fellowship Showcase, at which the current recipients of the fellowship discuss their work and issues involved in finding funding for it, placing it for publication, and presenting it at conference venues.
