ANNUAL CLST OPEN HOUSE in 501-CL 5:30-7:30PM

"Outsiders: Citizenship and Its Others" is the theme of The 2014 ANNUAL CULTURAL STUDIES COMMON SEMINAR INAUGURAL LECTURE AND PANEL DISCUSSION.  All Pitt graduate students and faculty members are invited to attend this event at which this coming semester's Common Seminar Instructor, History Professor and Chair Lara Putnam, will introduce her topic, after which there will be brief presentations by a distinguished panel of experts on the problematics of citizenship: German Professor Randall Halle, Anthropology Professor and Director of the Center for Russian and Eastern European Studies Robert Hayden, and English Professor Courtney Weikle-Mills. An audience discussion will follow, moderated by Communication Professor and CLST Director Ron Zboray. He will also roll out the Spring Semester 2015 CLST crosslistings and introduce instructors of those courses who may be present.  Refreshments will be provided.
